R & B star Usher’s new album Confessions has people wondering if there is any truth behind songs dealing with infidelity.
Usher Confesses?
Ever since his break-up with Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, there have been reports that the split was due to infidelity on his part. During a radio interview, Chilli accused Usher of cheating on her. Now it seems that there may be some truth behind the rumors. Although Usher swears that there is no truth to the rumors that he cheated, listeners may beg to differ. His song "Confessions" talks about a painful break-up and a man who gets another woman pregnant.
In the song he sings of "creepin" on the side with another woman and how she is carrying his baby and she is "keeping it." There have been reports that Usher cheated on Chilli with a fan that allegedly gave birth last December. Usher says, "Although with this album I was able to be a lot more honest, it’s still creative. I am a creative artist who is able to pull from a lot of people around me." He goes on to say, "That’s a story that I have not went through firsthand, but have experienced. We all have had issues with infidelity."
Whatever the case may be, Chilli seems to think there was some "creepin" going on. She said during a particularly bitter interview, "Usher did the ultimate no-no and I’ll never be with him again. If someone cheats on me one time, they will probably do it again and I don’t ever want to see him again." Some may argue what the "ultimate no-no" is in this scenario but it seems pretty clear. Way to air your dirty laundry before the world!! Cheating or no cheating, Usher’s album is climbing up the charts and he is laughing all the way to the bank.
