Matt Damon Single Again?
Despite recent reports that Matt Damon had proposed to his long-time girlfriend there have been rumors of his philandering ways.
It was recently reported that Matt Damon had popped the question to girlfriend, Odessa Whitmire. The two met through Damon’s best friend Ben Affleck when Whitmire was his personal assistant. Despite his apparent attachment, it has been rumored that Damon has been "fawning over" Eva Mendes, his Stuck on You co-star. Damon was quoted in British Esquire saying, "I certainly wouldn't kick her out of bed for eating crackers." He was apparently blown away by Mendes' nude scene in Training Day and says the "atmosphere" on the Stuck on You set was "amazing" because of her.
Mendes has been compared to Jennifer Lopez. Maybe Damon wants some Latin booty like his buddy, Ben. Damon usually tries to keep his romances on the down low, unlike his buddy Ben. Damon has been linked to a bevy of beauties, including Winona Ryder (pre-sticky fingers), Minnie Driver, and Claire Danes, to name a few. Damon is rumored to have a penchant for falling for his leading ladies. While filming All the Pretty Horses, it was rumored that he was romancing Penelope Cruz. He met Driver on the set of Good Will Hunting.
Maybe the romance between Damon and Whitmire is over. A few months ago he was spotted hanging out with a few unidentified ladies in Miami. Damon's rep denies that there is any hanky-panky going on with Damon and Mendes and says the two are "just friends." Of course they are! If the romance is over between the two, hopefully Whitmire is aware of it, unlike Damon's ex, Minnie Driver. Driver was under the impression that all was fine, until she saw Damon discussing their break-up on Oprah! Ouch! Despite the rumored romance, it has been reported that Mendes is in a serious relationship. Perhaps Matt could take a "page" out of Ben’s book and spring for a full spread in the local newspaper outlining Mendes’ best qualities.
